On November 20, 2017, Drake Goetz was in an accident that took his life at the age of fifteen. Drake left a beautiful imprint on the lives of those he encountered, and now, although gone physically, his memory is still encouraging us all to be good and to do good. The Drake Goetz Memorial Park is about love, it is about friendship, it is about dreams and it is about having faith. It is also about healing for those who have lost children and friends too soon.
The playground is almost complete, but we need this last financial push to open to the public. This $18,000 will go toward the safety turf under the playground, which is the final step necessary to allow our community to make new memories in honor of the beautiful memories we have of Drake.
