Dream Team 5k 2023
Dream Team at the University of Florida is a student-run, non-profit organization. Our program specifically focuses on the children in cardiac and intensive care at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. These children have complicated cardiovascular and medical conditions and some spend extended amounts of time in the hospital. Dream Team aims to dedicate time and service to these children and their families. With passion, enthusiasm, and a shared dedication to brightening the lives of these children in cardiac and intensive care, Dream Team works towards facilitating a direct patient volunteer program at the hospital.
With the money that we would like to raise, we will be able to get more materials for arts and crafts events, purchase new board games and toys for the kids, and overall provide a more diverse and fun environment for the kids that we work with. In addition, we would like to create a stronger familial bond amongst members of Dream Team and by using the funds that we collect, we will be able to hold fun social events and team bonding activities that will help to bring all the members of Dream Team closer together as not only friends but volunteers working towards the same goal.
Year in and year out our members receive the highest awards in community service and leadership. We would like to continue this culture of service and excellence by being able to continuously provide fun opportunities for our members and those patients that we work with. We appreciate all the support that we may receive and thank you for your time to learn more about us!
