Want to join me in making a difference? Growing Hearts for Christ is a support ministry for the Berea Foundation. The Berea Foundation educates and feeds underprivileged children in Cuernavaca Mexico. They have a brick and mortor school. Children who attend the school come from poor families, they are able to attend the school by either being sponsored by a family in the State or through the Berea Foundation providing the finances they need. Many of the children come from unhealthy or abusive family situations. The school shares the gospel of Jesus, love, and an education and encouragement that they can break the cycle of abuse and poverty with the intent of preventing it from passing from generation to generation.

The Berea Foundation has two feeding kitchens (Comedores). These children are extremely impoverished and are given a good meal, taught a Bible lesson, and are given Math and Reading lessons. This is the only education these children receive. Coming into their neighborhoods, meeting these children right where they are at. Giving them hope for a future outside of poverty.

The Foundation also helps women who are in abusive situations by providing them housing for themselves and their children and seeks to help the mothers become financially independent.

The Foundation has a vision to create a space in their Outreach Center Building that can host Mission Teams. The vision is to have a bunk room for men and another for women. A small kitchen, and 2 womens and 2 mens showers are needed.

The first part of the project is to make the showers for the Mission teams to use when they are serving in the school and at the Comedores. Phase one is to put in the plumbing, electrical, concrete work, and get one shower stall tiled and operational.

The Growing Hearts for Christ will be taking the first team March 18. We are still in need of $3500 to complete phase one of this project. A donation of any size is a seed sown into the kingdom work that is being done there. Impacting the lives of these children.
