In Memory of Leon Gu
We're grieving parents of Leon Gu, whose life ended abruptly at age 17. We're setting up this fundraiser in Leon's memory to help people in need.
In the past months, Leon had talked to us multiple times about how lucky that we're living a comfortable life. A lot of people were affected by the pandemic crisis and have difficulties with basic needs such as food and shelter. Leon would have had so much bright future but the cruel reality is that, he will never have opportunity to contribute to the society. We are raising money to benefit Durham Rescue Mission, and any donation will help Leon's short life to make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
More information about Durham Rescue Mission: Founded by 1974 by Dr. and Mrs. Ernie Ellis. The Mission's purpose is to mend and restore lives. In addition to providing meals and shelter, the Mission has several programs including warm clothes in the winter, fans in the summer, toys for kids, school supplies, counseling and training, thrift stores, and substance sheltered abuse treatment programs. The Mission has fed more than 400,000+ people and sheltered over 140,000+ individuals and families. Meals on Wheels delivers lunch to the elderly, frail disabled, and those unable to get around.
