From a very early age, Bob decided that living in Brooklyn, New York, was in no way going to dampen his enthusiasm for bicycling and hiking! He had little or no access to untouched nature until he joined the Hiking Club of Brooklyn College as an undergraduate. This led to a lifelong love of car camping and occasional backpacking. He found enormous personal delight in exploring wild places, both by himself, and with me and our three daughters.

Earthjustice, a non-profit 501c3, spearheads the legal fight for clean air, water, and works to create a healthy environment for everyone.

My name is Gie Wilson and I'm a senior at Indiana University studying Environmental and Sustainability Studies. Over the past year, I have been conducting research for my honors thesis focusing on the historic and future use of climate litigation. Part of this research led me to the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP29, in Baku, Azerbaijan. While there, I spoke with advocates, scholars, and lawyers about the state and future direction of climate litigation internationally. After experiencing first hand stories of plaintiffs and lawyers about the potential to be found in climate litigation, I was moved to take action to support this work.

This Earth Day, I'm raising funds to support climate litigation. Climate litigation around the world is on the rise, but citizens everywhere need help doing this. This is why I'm urging you to support EarthJustice, a U.S.-based nonprofit, which routinely pushes for more transparent and ambitious climate action with its lawsuits, as well as prioritizes climate justice and equity in its work.

I’m excited to announce that I’m hosting a donation-based pressed leaf design workshop aimed at celebrating the beauty of nature while giving back to our environment! As many of you know, my journey into the world of pressed flowers began when I noticed the significant waste within the floral industry. I was deeply moved by how many beautiful blooms go unsold or discarded, and I realized I wanted to make a positive impact.

All proceeds from this workshop will be donated to Earthjustice, an organization dedicated to preserving biodiversity in the wild. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to a greener future. Let’s come together to celebrate nature, create art that lasts, and support a worthy cause!

Hello, we are a group of 11th Grade students at El Segundo High School that are inspired to make a change with animal cruelty. The issue is that there are so many chemical pollutants being released into the environment. Such harmful chemicals can lead to poisoning, reproductive failure, habitat loss, and death to thousands of animals. This form of environmental harm is a kind of animal cruelty, even if it's indirect. Even though it occurs indirectly, this type of harm to the environment is a form of animal cruelty. Animal cruelty of that kind harms ecosystems, accelerates climate change, and reduces biodiversity. If nothing changes in 20 years, the effects could be severe. This can include animals suffering, environmental damage reaching irreversible levels, and ecosystems/food chains being severely disrupted. As a result, stopping animal abuse is crucial for the planet’s and future generations’ health as well as for the welfare of the animals.

My name is Rich Canevez, and I'm a professor, cyclist, and new father from Houghton MI.

I am fundraising for Earthjustice by riding solo on my gravel bike from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Chicago, traveling through my politically divided slice of the American Midwest.

This is also an exciting part of my first book project, where I will gather stories to share myself, us, and our battle in the current political moment.

With your support, we can help Earthjustice to stand up for environmental stewardship through their projects across the United States, acting through litigation and the legal system. With widespread environmental deregulation looming, nature and the environment will be under increased threat these next few years. Earthjustice has a history of standing up to the previous version of this regime, and their efforts (among others) will be essential to meeting the renewed threat. I am riding to help provide a voice for their cause, and your support can make all the difference.

I have the privilege of working at an institution of higher learning, where I get to teach students about the challenges to progress in our society, whether it is racial justice, climate action, or threats to democracy worldwide. I have seen now that the threats are closer to home, and that those of us who believe in a better world need to put our money where our mouth is. For me, teaching and researching the struggle is no longer enough!

All funds raised through this GoFundMe section of the project will go directly to Earthjustice to assist with their programs, to enable the continuance and growth of their growth and mission.

Many people live on land that is at risk of sinking, while others suffer from severe natural disasters which have been increasing. Significant species have been extinct already, and many more are at risk of extinction. Our life is threatened by rising temperatures, higher sea levels, and natural disasters. The earth urgently needs our help, so we make great efforts to preserve wilderness and promote clean energy with Earthjustice. By supporting their efforts, we can help create a sustainable world.
