January 1, 2012, Mauricio and Alexandria began a new life together as husband and wife. A new beginning. The beautiful testimony of redemption written in their lives speaks to this very thing- all things can be made new. No matter what a person has done or what their past looks like, it does not have to impact the future. Hope is available to all. Knowing this, Mauricio & Alexandria have partnered with Elijah Rising to see men and women set free in Houston, Texas as human trafficking is ended and all things are made new in this city.
Elijah Rising , a 501C organization founded to end modern day slavery, has purchased an 85 acre property near Houston, Texas to serve as a restorative aftercare facility for sex trafficking survivors. The facility is in need of numerous repairs, from the water well to electrical work, paint, windows, etc. Funds are being raised to see the property revived and restored to demonstrate to these women how much they are treasured and give them a place to live, learn new life skills, and see from their experiences at the Kendelton Farms, that the old truly is gone and the new has come as they are healed from the trauma of the past and step into their full potential for the future understanding they were created to be loved, not used.
Everyone involved with Elijah Rising would be blessed by any donation given. It's not just the women that are being transformed at Kendleton Farms, each person that steps onto the property sees love in action as the team of people working on this project are laying down their lives for their friends- women they haven't even met yet.
As residents of the Houston area, Mauricio and Alexandria feel grateful for the work Elijah Rising has begun to bring about change in our city. The Kendleton Farms project will impact the legacy we hand down to our children so thank you does not begin to say how we feel about contributions made to these efforts.
Awareness is another is another great way to serve those affected by trafficking. When darkness fills a room, all that is needed to see is one flicker of light. Darkness is overpowered by light. Your voice can bring light to this situation so please contact Elijah Rising or Mauricio/Alexandria to learn more about ending trafficking.
