Ella's Feline Rescue Mission Inc

Ella's Feline Rescue Mission is raising funds for a sweet cat named Smoke who came to our rescue in January 2024 with significant wounds and infections. He had lesions all over his body, some of which were so bad that he no skin left on his left leg. He went through testing and treatment before a diagnosis of Bartonellosis (commonly called Cat Scratch Fever) was identified. A long course of antibiotics cured the illness but unfortunately, he had been carrying the illness for a long time before coming into our care and it caused considerable damage to his eyes. The veterinary ophthalmologist said he had likely been in considerable pain for a long time before coming to our rescue. He will need surgery on 11/13/24 to remove his right eye. This will allow him to be free of pain and live a quality life. In spite of the fact that Smoke has spent a very long time in pain and discomfort, he is a very loving, affectionate, and good-natured cat. We will do everything in our power to give him the life he deserves. Please contribute to give this sweet boy a life free of pain. Every amount helps!

that exists to rescue, rehabilitate, shelter, and find cats’ forever homes. We are committed to helping all cats, regardless of level of need, to live healthy, quality lives with loving and committed owners. We envision a community where pets are valued and cared for, rather than abandoned to suffer.

Our first major project involves creating our shelter. We plan to renovate a small building into a comfortable and appropriate space for cats to receive shelter and care while awaiting forever homes.
