Our Mission
Conventional farming methods are proven to come at a high cost to public health, the health of agricultural workers, and the environment by polluting the air, water and soil.
Fortunately, innovation offers a way forward: deploy modern, regenerative practices like Responsive Drip Irrigation, no-till seeding, and agroforestry to create healthier farms, leading to healthier people and a healthier planet.
Enduring Harvest is a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to assisting poverty-stricken communities and mitigating climate change using regenerative agriculture.
In 2020, Enduring Harvest was founded to improve food security in the southern region of Iraq and mitigate the devastating effects of climate change by creating:
• Sustainably produced, nutritious food
• Education centers
• Employment opportunities for poverty-stricken communities
In 2021, The Iraq Pilot Farm project was established to serve as a way to help with these issues.
About The Iraq Pilot Farm Project
A 20-acre plot of land was purchased in the southern Province of Samawah, Iraq with the goal of turning seriously degraded land, due to overgrazing and war, into a self-sustaining regenerative farm.
This area was chosen because of its remote, peaceful location and the positive impact the farm would have on the environment and the people.
Many of the local community members in this region are widows and orphans living in extreme poverty due to two generations of war and conflict.
This project focuses on helping those individuals by implementing educational programs teaching regenerative farming methods and income-generating skills.
Current Progress
Local Agricultural Engineers and Farm Managers have been hired and begun working. The land has been prepared, and local families were hired to develop compost to soften the soil. Crops have been planted and small animals have been introduced to the farm.
Solar batteries, irrigation systems, and supplies have been delivered to the farm, and a section of the farm will be dedicated to medicinal and endangered plants.
We plan to improve the natural conditions of this region for the local communities, starting with our 20-acre regenerative farm. This farm will act as a blueprint for what we hope to replicate in other at-risk nations.
Enduring Harvest has already invested approx. $400,000 into this project for land acquisition, farming equipment, irrigation installation, and facilities.
