ኢትዮጵያዊነት፡ የዜጎች መብት ማስከበሪያ ጉባኤ (ኢትዮጵያዊነት) የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ ለዘመናት ያካበታቸውን የአብሮነት የጋራ እሴቶችና ማንነቶች ላይ ትኩረት ሰጥቶ በዜግነት ማንነት ማዕቀፍ ግላዊና ቡድናዊ መብቶችን ያለተቃርኖ በማጣጣም እንዲከበሩ ለማድረግ የሚጥርና፤ የወደፊቷን ኢትዮጵያ በእኩልነት፤በፍትህና በዲሞክራሲ እንድትገነባ የሚሠራ የሲቪክ ማኅበር ነው።
በዜግነት መርህ እሳቤ፤ ሁሉን አቃፊና ወካይ የሆነው የዜግነት ማንነት መረጋገጥ ለሰላም፤ ለአንድነትና ለብልጽግና የሚረዳ ዋነኛው የሃገር ግንባታ ምሰሶ ነው ብለን እናምናለን። ይህንንም ዕውን ለማድረግ ይረዳ ዘንድ የታሪክ፤ የኢትዮጵያዊነት ሥነ-ልቦና ውርርስና፤ ሲቪካዊ የዜግነት ትምህርት በስፋት ማዳረስ ለዜግነትም ሆነ ለሃገራዊ ማንነት መዳበር ክሚያመጣው ጥቅም ጋር በተጓዳኝ ከዘር ማንነት ወደ ዜጋዊ/ሀገራዊ ማንነት በማሸጋገር የኅብረ-ብሄራዊ እሴቶችና ባህርያት እንዲዳብሩ ያደርጋል።

በዘር ላይ የተመሰረተ ማንነት ምንጊዜም የራስን ወገን ለመጥቀምም ይሁን ወይም ባዕድ ብሎ የፈረጀውን የራስ ያልሆነ ወገንን ለመገዳደር ወደ አድልዎና አላስፈላጊ የግጭት አቅጣጫ ከማምራቱም በላይ ወደሠላማዊ ሀገራዊ ማንነት ለመሸጋገር እንቅፋት ሆኖ ይገኛል። ሃገራዊ ማንነትን ለማዳበር የጋራ እሴቶቻችንን፤ ባህልና ታሪካችንን በተገቢው መንገድ ለሕዝብና ለአዲሱ ትውልድ ማሳወቅና ማስተማሩ ዓይነተኛ መሳሪያ ሲሆን፤ በአንፃሩ የዘር ፖለቲካ ለማንም የማይጠቅም በመጨረሻም ሁሉንም የሚጎዳ መሆኑ ታውቆ የአሁኑንና የውደፊቱን ትውልድ ከዚህ አደገኛ አመለካከት እንዲላቀቅ ማስተማር ግዴታ ነው ብለን እናምናለን ። ኢትዮጵያዊነትና በውስጡ የያዛቸው የአብሮነትና የመፈቃቀድ እሴቶች ካልተጤኑና ወቅታዊ መፍትሄ ካልተሰጣቸው ቀጣዩ ሁከትና ብጥብጥ መሆኑን ሕዝባችንም እየተረዳው መምጣቱን አስተውለናል።

ኢትዮጵያዊነት ባሁኑ ጊዜ ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ሰፍኖ የሚታየውን የመናገር የመፃፍና የመደራጀት ነፃነት ተከትሎ የማኅበሩን ጠቅላላ እንቅስቃሴ ወደ ኢትዮጵያ አዛውሮ የኢትዮጵያዊነት ኢንስቲትዩት እንዲመሠረትና በዚህም ተቋም ማዕከልነት የሥነ-ዜግነት፤ የኢትዮጵያዊነት ሥነ-ልቦናና፤ የጋራ የሆኑ በርካታ እሴቶችን ለወጣቱ ትውልድና ሕዝቡ እንዲያውቃቸው፤ የዜግነት ማንነቱን በማጠናከር ለግለሰብ መብትና ግደታ፤ ለሃገር ሰላምና አንድነት፤ ብልጽግና አጠናክሮ ለማስፋፋት የሚያስችሉ መርሃ ግብሮችን ነድፎ በመንቅሳቀስ ላይ ይገኛል። ለዚህም ተግባር አሥራ አንድ አባላትን ያቀፈ ካውንስል (ምክር ቤት) በሀገር ቤት አቋቁሞ ሥራውን ከጀመረ እነሆ ስድሰት ወር ሆኖታል፡፡ ተቋሙ ለአለፉት ሀያ ሰባት ዓመታት ሲሰበኩ የነበሩትን የሀሰት ትርክቶች በማስረጃ በተደገፈ እውነታ እንዲስተካከል ከማድረግ አልፎ የህዝባችንን አንድነትና አብሮነት የሚያጠናክሩ እውነተኛ የጋራ ታሪካችንን በመረዳት በመከባበርና በመተሳሰብ ዘይቤ ትሥሥር የነበረው አብሮነት በህዝባችን አእምሮ እንደገና ለማሰረጽ የሚያስችሉ የተለያዩ መርሃ ግብሮችን በመዘርጋት ለማስተማር በዝግጅት ላይ ነው፡፡

የጋራ ታሪካችንን ማወቅና የኢትዮጵያን ሕዝብ ጥልቅ የባሕል ትሥሥርና ውህደት መረዳት ለሀገር አንድነት ጠቃሚ መሰረት ነው። ሆን ተብሎ እውነተኛ ታሪኩን እንዳያውቅ በማድረግም ሆነ ራስን የሃሰተኛ የታሪክ ትርክት ሰለባ ለመሆን በመምረጥ በሚከሰት ስህተት የሚያስከትለውን ጦስ አለማጤን በአሁኑ ጊዜ ያለጥፋቱ በአዲሱ ትውልድ እየተከሰተ የመጣውን ዓይነት ታላቅ ስህተት ወስጥ መውደቅን ያስከትላል። የኢትዮጵያ ታሪክ የስቃይና የመክራ ታሪክ ብቻ ሳይሆን የሃገርና ወገን ወዳድነት፤የኢትዮጵያዊነት ኩራትና ክብርም ነው። ሁሉም ታሪኮቻችን የጋራ እሴቶቻችን ናቸው። በመልካም እሴቶቻችን ላይ ተመስርተን አንድነታችንን አጠንክረን በዲሞክራሲ መንገድ እንድንጓዝ ጥሪያችንን እናስተላልፋለን።

አሁን የሚታየውን የዜግነት ማንነት መሸርሸርና መዳከም ተቋቁሞ የሀገር አንድነትን ለማጠናከር እንዳይቻል ከፍተኛ የሆኑ ፖለቲካዊና የዘር ሥነ-ልቦና ይዘት ያላቸው ተግዳሮቶች ተደቅነው ይገኛሉ። እነዚህን ችግሮች ለመፍታት በትምህርት ገበታና በምክክር ደረጃ ስፊ መርሃ ግብር ተዘርግቶ መካሄድ እንዳለበት በማመን ኢትዮጵያዊነት ኢንስቲትዩት የቀረፃቸውን ልዩ ልዩ የዜግነት፤ የታሪክ፤ የባህልና የኢትዮጵያዊነት ሥነ-ልቦና ትስስሮችን ለማጠናከር ሊረዳ የሚያስችል ፕራግራም አዘጋጅቷል። ለክንውኑ የሚያስፈልገው የበጀት መጠን እስከ $100000.00 (መቶ ሺህ ዶላር) እንደሚደርስና ለዚህም የእያንዳንዱን ኢትዮጵያውያዊ/ት ንቁ ተሳትፎና ርብርብ የሚጠይቅ በመሆኑ የተጀመረው ዕቅድ እውን ይሆን ዘንድ በሰው ኅይል፤ የቁሳቁስና የገንዘብ እርዳታ በሰፊው ያስፈልጋል። በተጨማሪም የኢትዮጵያዊነትን መርህ በማራመድ የሚረዱ የውጭ ተቋማትና ደጋፊዎች እንዲሁም የዳያስፖራ ኢትዮጵያውያን እጅግ ከፍ ያለ እርዳታና ተሳትፎ ያስፈልጋል። ስለሆነም የገንዘብ ማሰባሰቡን የሥራ ዘርፍ ለማገዝ በተዘጋጀው Go-Fund-Me የገንዘብ ማሰባሰቢያ ድረ-ገፅ ላይ የሀገር ማንነትና አንድነት የሚያሳስባቸው ወገኖች ሁሉ የሚችሉትን ያህል አስተዋሰኦ እንዲያደርጉ በማክበር እየጠየቅን በተለያየ የሙያ ክህሎት ለማሟላት በምናደርገው የሰው ሃይል ስብስብ ወደ ተቋማችን በመምጣት እንድትቀላቀሉን አደራ እንላለን።፡

Ethiopiawinnet Council for the Defense of Citizens Rights (E-CDCR) was established as a civic organization in 2012 to steer the country away from the dangerous trajectory of ethnic division and to focus its efforts, in the face of an aggressive ethnic agenda of divide and rule threatening to dismantle the common historical values of Ethiopiawinnet that our people have forged for centuries to live together in peace and harmony. Ethiopiawinnet strives to promote national unity in a democratic Ethiopia with the primacy of citizens’ rights that is articulated without any infringement of the wishes and aspirations of cultural and ethnic group rights.

The promotion of the primacy of individual rights anchored within the basic framework of the all-inclusive citizenship rights in the country is the cornerstone for nation building that is paramount in the eventual realization of peace, harmony, unity, and prosperity in the country. This should be bolstered by a robust educational program on Ethiopian history, mythology, and civic education to cultivate and nurture a new supra identity transcending ethnicity for the full realization of a flourishing and thriving national and citizenship identity that in turn feeds into the growth of multinational ideals.

Typically, the basis for clinging to the tenets of Ethnicity based identities by its adherents are either used to favor one’s ethnicity or to disfavor or deny the “others” leading to an unnecessary and endless dispute becoming a hindrance to a peaceable transformation of society in which national and multi-national identities flourish. This anachronistic and primitive human behavior apparent in ethnic identity has no place in a burgeoning modern political-economy. It is essentially an instrument of mutual destruction not heeded by its adherents.

Nowadays, citizens have come to realize and appreciate the vital role Ethiopiawinnet values play in their day to day life and empathy for their fellow citizens. It behooves on us therefore to reach out to the new generation and society at large to usher in multi-national transformative measures through well-designed educational programs that tap into our common historical, cultural, and Ethiopiawinnet values.

Ethiopiawinnet (E-CDCR) moved its operations from the USA to Ethiopia in January of 2019 following the relative atmosphere of democratic change in Ethiopia with attendant improvements of freedoms of expression and organization. The improved situation has allowed it to establish an Ethiopiawinnet Institute there to serve as a center of teaching and excellence and research in matters pertaining to all aspects of Ethiopiawinnet (social, cultural, psychological, ethical and moral) values.

The center has been in operation in Ethiopia six months since and manned by an eleven-member council. The center has set itself to deliver educational packages, to the young generation of Ethiopians and the general populace, on civic education, Ethiopiawinnet values, and other socio-cultural and historical accounts, all geared to inculcate the universal citizenship-based individual rights that lends itself or give rise to awareness of supra national consciousness.

The center is also duty bound not only to educate citizens on our common histories that bound us together for millennia but also fact-based rebuttal of the relentless false narratives of the ethnic identity camp in the last 28 years.

Ethiopiawinnet is convinced that our keen awareness, understanding and heeding of our common histories and the extant deep sense of togetherness and harmony of our citizens is at the root of our unity as a nation and country. Inarguably too, Ethiopian history is not all about misery, gloom and doom but also one of patriotism, love of country and fellow citizens.

Nonetheless, the new generation was either on the receiving end of a barrage of false historical narratives or intentionally chose to subscribe to the false narratives in the last 28 years becoming a victim of such ethnic based assault meant to erode citizenship identities, the singular factor that ensures equality of citizens under the rule of law. And so, we call upon fellow citizens, to let us focus on leveraging our common Ethiopiawinnet values, the very basis of our existence, to move us towards citizenship-based democracy and the rule of law that ensures peace, unity, harmony and prosperity to our people.

Seemingly persistent and insurmountable language-based ethnic political roadblocks stand in the way hindering the efforts of progressive unity forces that try to prop up and rebuild citizenship-based multi-national identities. It is our strong belief that a sustained and citizenship nuanced educational programs, as envisaged by the Ethiopiawinnet Institute, focused on civic, cultural, historical and Ethiopiawinnet ethical values coupled with community wide consultations are keys to overcome the stated ethnic identity driven citizenship complications.

Ethiopiawinnet Institute estimates upwards of $100,000.00 (one hundred thousand dollars) to situate its center, fill the office, and run the full range of educational packages on Ethiopiawinnet values spanning civic, cultural, historical and ethical values to educate the young generation and to make inroads into changing ethnic based identities to grow and morph into citizenship based multi-national identities.
