SOL Church is fundraising
Humanitarian Aid for Ukrainian People
(Please note that none of the money is going to benefit the Evangelical Ukrainian Baptist Church of Sacramento. The money must be handled through a non-profit, which is why that name is included in the title.)
Ukraine is a peaceful country, but right now it is being invaded. At this time the Russian army is attacking along all borders with Russia and Belarus, aiming mainly for Kyiv (the capital) and Kharkiv (the most populous city in Ukraine). Tens of thousands of families have fled their homes for the safety of their lives and as many are suffering from different hardships and shortages. This war is against the innocent people of Ukraine.
In situations like this, even when we feel desperately helpless, there are two ways we can help. First, is to pray for a quick end to this war. Second, is to help provide humanitarian aid. Our church has volunteers on the ground throughout Ukraine and at refugee camps in Poland who have been aiding the displaced.
We are asking for your donation. 100% of donations collected will be used to fund the immediate emergency and ongoing needs such as food and shelter for the refugees, vital medical supplies, as well as care for the wounded and injured civilians.
What’s happening in Ukraine right now is not just a conflict, it is a humanitarian crisis. Please help!
