Ever After Mustang Rescue Training and Educational Center

My name is Chelsea Toussaint, known musically as Sparxsea, and I am raising money for a wild horse rescue and rehabilitation center called Ever After Mustang Rescue in Biddeford, Maine, that is in desperate need of support to keep their mission alive. They provide refuge for unwanted, neglected, and abused mustang horses while integrating them into the community through educational programs and social events, oftentimes finding a forever home for each mustang along the way.

In 2022, their matriarch and founder Mona Jerome passed away, leaving the family fractured, finances fading, and the farm followed.

I reached out with the idea of filming a music video to feature the horses and raise awareness of the work they do, and they graciously agreed. While filming the video and getting to know the small crew of volunteers who keep these horses safe and taken care of, I also bore witness to the real struggles they are undergoing. The buildings are weathered. The horses are aging. It all seems bare. They really are trying, but understandably need help filling some big shoes, and they need someone to believe in them again.

Ever After Mustang Rescue was founded by Mona in 2002 on Bush Brook Farm, which was built after rescuing a single mustang in 1980 and expanding through the years. The organization would go on to rescue, rehabilitate, and care for 100+ wild mustangs over the past few decades, while also serving as an educational space and training center for the community. Since Mona's passing, they've been scrambling to maintain their mission, as she was truly a life force and inspiration.

Currently, the organization is on life support and needs immediate funding for barn repairs, supplies, hay, and direct assistance in caring for the horses. Please help me save this farm so we can bring life back to these horses, this family, and this community.
