Valencia Pringle is fundraising
Save Our Seniors
The money raised by this fundraiser will benefit the seniors in West Chicago. Due to the effects of COVID-19, these seniors, who are among the most vulnerable in our state, need resources desperately.
They don’t have access to transportation, which in turn means they don’t have access to testing, food, sanitation productions, and more. Because of the Stay at Home Order, their loved ones have limited access to give them the resources they need as well.
So we’re asking for all those who can - please donate to our cause. These seniors have nothing, and will die if things continue on the way they are. Your donation could provide a meal, a case of water, tissue, hand sanitizer. Anything that will help us keep the generation who gave us life around for as long as possible.
They’ve done so much for us, let’s show them we care by equipping them against the pandemic.
About Family Cares Missions:
We are a 501c3 organization committed to engaging the youth in our community and developing them into active leaders who bring about change. Established in 1982 in the East Garfield Park Community, Family Cares Mission has been a source of hope for nearly three decades.
We have brought about radical solutions to youth unemployment, disengagement, and literacy by providing job opportunities, after school tutoring, college readiness seminars, public speaking sessions, and more intensive training to prepare our youth to arise as engaged leaders in their community.
Additionally, we have established lasting relationships with community based organizations to ensure safety and positive recreational activities for the youth in our community.
While, youth are the priority of our focus, we also extend our services to families, providing food, community outreach events, and seminars on issues that impact them.
The seniors in our community play a vital role in our organization, passing on their wisdom to the next generation. We want to keep them around as long as possible, and are partnering with Senator Van Pelt’s office to do so.
