Help save marriages!
We need your help to bring hope to marriage.
Where Your $ Will Go:
1. $50,000 will help us produce the Grace Filled Marriage video study (filming begins August 13, 2014).
2. Funds over $50,000 will help us produce other resources including marriage conferences, workbooks and audio messages.
This may seem mundane, but by helping create these resources, you can play a significant role in saving struggling marriages, and making good marriages even better.
We know video studies are a poweful resource because our Grace Based Parenting video study has reached and impacted tens of thousands of parents and their kids since its release in 2010.
How you can help:
Think of a couple whose marriage has inspired you and has made your world a better place. With that couple in mind we hope you'll consider doing 4 things!
1. Donate a dollar for every year the inspirational couple has been married.
2. Leave a note honoring the couple that inspired you!
3. Share this campaign on social media.
4. Show a little more grace to those you love.
Everyone who gives to this campaign will receive the Help Save Marriages Gift Pack (this pack includes The High Cost of High Control ebook, 31 Days of Prayer for your Spouse .pdf prayer book, and How to Have a Fair Fight audio message). You will receive a thank you email within 24 hours with instructions for how to receive your free gift.
__________
Think of the last wedding you attended. More than likely, standing at the alter was a couple deeply in love. They believed that the love that brought them there that day was going to carry them through all the sweat, tears, pain and hurt that living under the same roof with someone brings. Here’s the thing:
Love's not enough. It never was.
So many marriages…marriages that started because of love, fail because eventually, love falls short. Maybe if we had unconditional love going for us when we got married, we'd be golden. But, unconditional love relies on us doing it perfectly, and *NEWS FLASH* we’re human.
For over 30 years of ministering to families, we’ve learned that when marriages fail - they don't fail because they lack love. Even some couples who eventually divorce will tell you they still love each other. No, marriages fail because they lack GRACE.
What's grace?
Grace is giving someone something they desperately need, but don’t always deserve…like understanding, forgiveness, patience and the benefit of the doubt. Grace helps people who love each other overcome the stupid, unkind things they do to sabotage their marriage. Grace helps people keep their promises to each other, even when they don’t feel like it.
We understand this is a radical message.
We get that it goes against the grain of what we've all internalized as truth…that love is all we need. The kind of grace we're talking about is different, though. It's the not-so-secret “secret ingredient” in successful marriages because it assumes shortcomings and imperfections in your partner, yet gives favor anyway.
This secret is the radical premise in our book Grace Filled Marriage, written by our Executive Director, Dr. Tim Kimmel. We've seen marriages transformed when couples learn and start to live this secret. Now, we want to create a Grace Filled Marriage conference and video series to spread the word to more couples, and we need money to do it.
We want to extend an opportunity for you to help save marriages. Why? Because everyone has seen a marriage close to them fail. Most everyone has also been positively impacted by a strong marriage. And right now, many struggling marriages are one conversation away from ruin.
Marriage is still the backbone of our society. It’s the cornerstone of the family. And when marriages thrive, everybody wins. Better marriages = better world.
Thank you for helping us spread the word!
