Fanciful Farms started out as a small boutique farm where we concentrated on farmer’s market bake sales, seasonal produce and colorful eggs. After taking in a small malnourished and crippled horse who was taken from his mother too soon our rescue started to take roots. The rescue/sanctuary is now home to many horses with physical and psychological issues, aging abandoned or ex breeder/show goats, feral and physically handicapped peafowl, chickens from abandoning, cull, and rehoming situations and a very loving Turkey hen! This year, with many of the residents of Fanciful coming from past injuries and also progressing age being a factor, some of the things we have on our wishlist we would love to get some support in purchasing! We are asking for donations to be used for the following costs which would greatly impact the quality of life for many of the animals!

We are hoping to purchase

1. Equilux light therapy for some of our horses with skeletal deformities, arthritis, a goat with a soft tissue injury from a recent loose dog attack, and especially for River who is an ex Amish buggy horse and is really struggling with pain management due to his past of being overworked and also a car accident he was involved in. He’s in daily excruciating pain and we this was highly recommended to give him pain relief.

2. A specialist veterinarian/chiropractor to come out to the farm to see River and hopefully help give him some pain relief.

His pain makes even walking agonizing for him and chiropractic adjustment will improve his quality of life to help keep his hips and spine aligned because after being hit by a car they tend to slip out of place often.

3. Equine dental. Many of our horses have “monkey mouth” which is a deformity due to the dwarfism gene in several of the horses. This requires a lot of dental care as a result.
