Brian Cuddeback's Golf Endurance Challenge
Over the last three years, I’ve been challenging my personal endurance on the golf course. Over three separate days I’ve played for 469 holes of golf and raised a little over $60,000; 181 holes and $27,000 last year alone.

For 2023, it’s about new milestones. That’s more golf and raising more money. My new goal is to play 11 rounds/198 holes on Monday, July 24 and raise $40,000 for Gifts Of Love.

Will you support me? Every penny I raise will go to Gifts Of Love - an organization that operates food, clothing and housewares pantries in both Avon and Hartford. Their Weekend Backpack Program reaches over 300 students in need with easy-to-prepare meals and snacks for the entire family. They are active participants in retail rescue initiatives that eliminate food waste, and administer the Operation Fuel Program. More than 6,200 local people benefit from these important programs each year. Given the inflationary pressures that exist and running the risk of having to say no to local families in need is all the reason I need to do my part.

Honoring Ashraf Satvat's 70th: For Gifts of Love
Ashraf Satvat, my mother, is an extraordinary woman who has dedicated her life to serving others. On Wednesday, April 26th, as she celebrates her 70th birthday, I would be grateful if you would join me in honoring her by supporting a cause that is dear to her heart: the Gifts of Love charity. My mother has triumphed over great adversity and illness her entire life, and the fact that she is alive and in such good health is a testament to her resilience.

For those who may not be familiar, Gifts of Love is a nonprofit organization that helps individuals and families in need by providing basic necessities such as food, clothing, and household items. My mother has been a devoted supporter of this charity and has volunteered an incredible amount of her time and resources to help those in need. Your donation will directly benefit the Avon, CT chapter serving the Greater Hartford Area.

In honor of my mother's 70th birthday and her more than 50 years of service to volunteer organizations, especially children with special needs and their families, and those less fortunate from all walks of life, I have started this GoFundMe campaign to raise $5,000 for Gifts of Love Avon, just $100 for each year of service to others. I believe that this is a small but meaningful way to thank my mother for all that she has done, to bring our games community together, and to continue her legacy of kindness and generosity.

In For a Penny, In For a Par
For a few years now I’ve been thinking about a personal challenge I wanted to undertake. Last fall an old friend told me to just do it. Well Mitch, here goes...

Raising money for an endurance challenge. A typical round of golf (18 holes) takes 3.5 to 5.0 hours depending on venue. I’m going to play as many rounds as I can in one day. My goal - 7 rounds/126 holes.

On Monday, July 13th (rain or shine), I’ll spend approximately 14 hours in pursuit of this goal. My thanks to Steve Madison and the Golf Club of Avon for providing the venue.

Will you support me? Every penny I raise will go to Gifts of Love - an organization founded more than 30 years ago by the local community with only one goal: to provide hope and comfort to those experiencing a financial crisis - neighbors helping neighbors. Gifts of Love offers short-term programs and education, including nutritional resources to more than 700 people a month, helping to support and improve their current situation.

There are many ways you can give: a flat amount for the cause (eg $50, $100), an amount Per Hole (eg $1, $2), an amount Per Round (eg $10, $20) or even a Challenge Pledge (eg $150 for 7 completed rounds). I am going to match all pledges dollar for dollar for the first $5,000. Together, let’s raise $10,000 for Gifts of Love!
