- Tatyana Ishutkina is fundraisingMy name is Tatyana Ishutkina. I am un-paid full-time volunteer at the Fermata Arts Foundation (FAF) as its director. Organizing exhibitions of children's drawings from post-soviet countries and art workshops for kids in public libraries is one of the activities of our organization.
What children who send their drawings through their school institutions to America want to see in return...?They ask for help, they write complete information about themselves. They send a message about saving the country from destruction, changing culture. It's all intuitive: what children's drawings say – and what they don't.
PLEASE HELP US TO CONTINUE OUR WORK!
Since 2009 FAF has been bringing traveling exhibitions of children's drawings to public libraries in MA, CT, NH, VT, RI, NY, AR, TN and TX. Many visitors' comments express satisfaction and joy at seeing these children's drawing collections in their libraries:“These were lovely pictures! Very bright, colorful, and hopeful. Just what we need in these times. People really enjoyed them.” (Woodsville Free Public Library, NH)
“Young Artists Exhibit To: ALL the Young ARTISTS. From: Karen Broemme, NHI have had the pleasure of being with the exhibit every week while I volunteer in the same space/room in our City Library. Your many talents, joys & sorrows are so beautifully expressed on simple paper & bits of cloth. I've had many visitors stop to share their feelings, some shared tears with me. My thoughts and prayers for a bright & loving future go out to ALL. Thank You- students of all ages! Thank you Fermata Arts and everyone who made this exhibit possible”
“I like the domestic signs of the subjects; the use of many colors together to give a more realistic look is well done! I also like the movement created with the tree & tall grass being blown. The cloud in the middle is unexpected, but I really like it and was able to appreciate the variety & laying of colors.Beautiful Work!” - Ms. Paquin
