Rebuild Rockport A/G Church
My name is AshLee Frazier. I am the daughter of pastor Bruce Frazier of the Assembly of God Church, in Rockport, Texas. My parent's church was affected by Hurricane Harvey and while I can't be there to help I can help by raising money to restore the church from the damage caused by the storm.
First Assembly of God is a church that provides for the community.
Matthew 7:24-27(ESV) says to build your house on the rock. No better words could be said for the city of “Rock”port.
On Thursday Rockport was ground zero for Harvey. With wind gusts up to 160 mph... we’ve all seen the damage it’s done to businesses, churches, vehicles and homes.
My parents have been pastoring the church for 5 years now. They have provided so much for the community in these short years. Throughout my dad's life, God has called him to bring fresh community minded ministry to the churches he pastors.
This has included $2500 toys and bikes for kids at Christmas. During Easter, an egg hunt with 10k eggs. They just concluded giving away 100 back packs filled w school supplies.
What's more heartbreaking is to have wind storm insurance, it would costs the church over $15,000 a year. In a small community like Rockport that’s simple not affordable.
As a pastor's daughter I believe that we can raise enough to also cover this cost for years to come.
But to start they are in need of $250,000 to get the church back to working condition. This amount will help put a roof back on, rebuild the Sunday school rooms, replace damaged lights, carpet on the floor, seats to sit on, a sign that welcomes you in, equipment for services and money to remove and clean out the destruction of Harvey.
Let’s show the City of Rockport that the whole country stands by them!
