Help us get our surgery truck back on the road!
Our non-profit veterinary clinic that provides low-cost spay/neuter for cats and low-cost vaccines for dogs is down a truck and we need your help!
Last year we were vandalized twice and our communities stepped up to help us get back on the road quickly. Once again we are asking for your help. Our main surgical truck is now down and we need your help to get her back on the road ASAP. We need a new engine and generator. We have located both parts and are lucky enough to have connections to install at little to no cost (saving us thousands). After getting through last year's financial burdens we do not have enough savings built up to pay for the engine or generator. Betty White (our main surgical truck, lovingly called Betty White because like one of our animal advocate hero's our truck is a tough old broad who's mission is to help animals in need) is our lifeline to be able to provide vital services to our communities.
Founded in 2018, Fix'n Wag'n is a non-profit organization that provides low-cost, high-volume spay/neuter services to rescues and low-income communities within a 2-hour radius of Pittsburgh, PA, on a mobile surgical unit. Each year, we spay/neuter/vaccinate thousands of cats, thereby addressing overpopulation at its source and improving the quality of life of thousands of owned and community cats. We also vaccinate and examine hundreds of dogs yearly at low-cost community vaccination clinics. We often work 6-7 days a week, giving everything we have and more to help our communities' animals, owners, and rescuers alike. Last year alone we provided 7, 432 life-saving spay/neuter surgeries for cats in our communities and provided over 15,000 affordable vaccinations for both cats and dogs in our communities. We currently serve 13 counties and within those counties we partner with 20 community partner groups. We have the potential to expand into 6 new counties and provide services through 12 new partner groups but only if we can get Betty White back on the road!
