Flathead Valley Hockey Association HS

The Flathead Fusion High School Hockey team is going to Nationals!  
We were given the opportunity to compete at the 2021 Nationals Tournament in Omaha Nebraska April 13th-20th, and we are doing everything in our power to get the whole team there and not have it be such a financial hardship for everyone and their families. 

As I am writing this, our team is 15-1, and we are hoping to put the flathead valley on the map at the Nationals tournament!  A lot of these boys took 2nd in state last year, and we are hoping to take the title home this season, and then show off their talents in Omaha at the end of April.

The parents sacrifice so much to keep their kids playing hockey in Montana, having some road trip games7-8 hours away sometimes.  I feel like it was my duty as a coach to try and get the families some support that they deserve.  We want to give every player on the team an equal opportunity to compete in this tournament, no matter what their financial status is.  Every player on our team is a vital part of the success and I couldn't be more proud of what they have already accomplished this season.

Nationals Basic Breakdown

Tournament Game Dates Thursday April 15th - Monday April 19th 2021

Omaha, Nebraska

2 Coaches, 6 Defense, 9 Offense, 3 Goalies = 20 to attend Nationals

Estimated schedule arriving Tuesday April 13th and departing Tuesday 20th 2021
Estimated airfare $275 per person = $5,500
Estimated hotel with 4 players per room (2 coaches 1 room) = $4200.00
Estimate bus rental with driver = $2400.00
Estimate of food $50 per player per day for 7 days = $7000.00
Estimate for continued practice 3 times per week for 5 weeks = $2250.00
Total estimate cost = $21,350.00
