Fundraising for Florence's 80th Birthday!!
Please join us in celebrating Florence Ponziano's 80th birthday. Florence's Comfort House embodies Florence's life's work, and she has asked the "Hat Party" girls to help her celebrate her 80th by fundraising to support the FCH mission and fund her summer camp. We met Florence in 2009 and started our fundraising efforts then. She has remained in our lives and we continue to love and support her and FCH. We appreciate all who can help us raise money and make Florence's 80th birthday a special one.
To Florence, "The Comfort House is Light." The kids come to spend time and get away from the darkness in their own situations. This darkness may be represented by a lack of food and care, the absence of someone to listen, or the danger present in a neighborhood frequented by drug dealers.
Florence’s Comfort House focuses on supplying kids’ essential needs—including food, clothing, school supplies, and a safe place to study and play. The children also learn to give back to their community in similar ways to how they are being helped.
