Hi, I am the director and founder of Food Yoga International, formerly known as Food for Life Global.

Our mission is the same, but we are highlighting our core values of using pure food to unite the world, and thus directly address the root cause of hunger.

These last few months have been a struggle for our head office, as we try to maintain our support service for the international network of affiliates around the world. Many depend on the financial support they receive from our office, but lately, that has not been possible as many of our donors also struggle to make ends meet and have not been able to donate as they would like.

I get it, I know what you are going through. If you are also struggling, I do not expect you to be able to help us financially. Still, at least you can share the good work Food Yoga International does every day -- feeding those who need a good meal and advocating for a united and kinder world. Sharing is caring too!

Donate To Help Emmanuel Eyo
Emmanuel Eyo, a passionate leader who has been helping Food for Life Global in Africa for the past 20 years, is currently facing severe medical conditions that interfere with his ability to continue his philanthropic work.

Emmanuel is suffering from secondary glaucoma, which has caused the left side of his body to be partially paralyzed since 2020. Emmanuel has sought treatment for his condition, but no lasting or permanent cure exists. He was referred to a specialist hospital for an urgent correctional surgical operation. However, Emmanuel could not follow up, as this was not financially feasible for him.

Emmanuel, "aka" Ekachakra Prabhu, has spent his life selflessly contributing to the cause and well-being of humanity, as well as advocating for the safety and protection of animals globally:

Emmanuel has served as the director of the International Vegetarian Union, touring different African countries and organizing seminars and workshops on vegan education and animal protection.

Despite his health, he is currently the president of the Organization of Animal Welfare in Nigeria.

In 2019, he organized conferences in Nigeria, Togo, Cameroon, Gambia, and Kenya.

In 2018, he attended The World Vegetarian Congress, with a certificate in Malaysia.

In 2012 - 2016, he conducted conferences in the U.S. on animal protection and cruelty, under the World Society for The Protection of Abuse and Cruelty Against Animals and Minors.

Emmanuel was also an Affiliate Project Manager for Food for Life Global, an international nonprofit committed to serving freshly cooked vegan meals to people in need.

Lastly, he has served as a temple manager at Iskcon.

Emmanuel's health is deteriorating quickly, and his situation needs urgent attention. Emmanuel's medical bill amounts to $5,000 U.S. dollars to cover the entire cost.

Urgent food relief for the people of Ukraine
Mariupol is one of the biggest сities in East Ukraine. There used to be more than 500,000 people before the war broke out. However, now the сity is mostly destroyed. But those that could not leave remain to survive day by day.

The city has no gas, electric power, or water. Many people are living in the basement of buildings. They have to cook with firewood. As Winter approaches, it is very important to provide them with a hot meal.

As fighting escalates, the time is now to offer assistance.

War is ugly; it is dirty, exhausting, discouraging, and violent. Please join our team on the ground to at least put a smile on some people's faces. FFL is their only hope.

Food for Life started helping these people around 3 months ago. The volunteers cook different preparations from plant-based products such as soup, porridge, bread, and drink. They feed around 500-600 people daily, but the local government is asking the team to increase to meet the demand of hungry people. One of the challenges to increasing distribution is that the team does not have a vehicle to reach them.

They urgently need a minivan to expand their distribution around the city.

We have identified a decent van that will suit their needs, costing $13,000 USD.

You may be asking, why can they not get financial support from the Ukraine government? There is no financial assistance being offered, only donations of some food supplies and clothing. All the financial assistance sent to Ukraine is being used to rebuild infrastructure.

Food Yoga International (formerly known as Food for Life Global) has been at the forefront of plant-based food relief since 1995. The charity has served over 8 billion free meals, making it the world's largest plant-based food relief organization. Their mission is to provide healthy, substitutable meals to people in need, especially in times of crisis.

As climate change accelerates, natural disasters have increased both in frequency and intensity, making vulnerable populations more susceptible to food insecurity and malnutrition. From floods to earthquakes, disasters now affect millions globally each year. It is essential to have a proactive and sustainable response.

Plant-based emergency relief is not only ethical but also resource-efficient, allowing for faster preparation and distribution during crises.

Food Yoga International has successfully responded to many of the world's major disasters, from the Asian Tsunami of 2004 to the Nepal Earthquake in 2015, distributing millions of plant-based meals to disaster survivors [1].

This campaign seeks to raise $5 million to build and deploy sustainable mobile disaster relief trucks equipped with solar panels and biodiesel fuel, capable of delivering 10,000 plant-based meals daily in disaster zones.

THE VISION

Our mission is to be at the forefront of disaster relief efforts, equipped and ready to provide compassionate, eco-friendly, and nutritious aid to communities affected by both natural and man-made disasters. To achieve this, we plan to establish three strategically located professional disaster response teams:

Florida (East USA) – Covering the Eastern United States and the Caribbean.

Bogotá, Colombia (South America) – Responding across South America.

Los Angeles (West USA) – Serving the Western United States and Pacific regions.

Each location will be fully equipped with eco-friendly emergency food relief vehicles and the supplies needed to respond to any disaster quickly and efficiently. These projects will serve as pilot programs, laying the foundation for our future global expansion and ensuring that no corner of the world is beyond our reach.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We are calling on our global community of compassionate individuals and organizations to help us raise $5 million, which will fund the launch of these three pilot programs and enable Food Yoga International to be fully prepared to meet the increasing demand for disaster relief.

Deploy three disaster relief trucks across the U.S. to respond to natural disasters.

Serve as mobile kitchens for disaster zones, capable of providing up to 10,000 plant-based meals daily.
