These are strange times. These are times when Mother Earth is asking us to pull together, to pay attention, to be aware of our fellow humans. Yesterday my mom passed on to a better world, and as she devoted hours of her life to helping others and raised a family of 8, I would like to extend a hand in her memory. She would have been outraged at the idea of kids going hungry because they cannot get their daily meal from their schools which are now closed. So if you have a few dollars to spare in these very hard and strange times, this is what i propose to you:

The cover picture is of an original Wood Burning/Watercolor piece- mounted on painted aluminum  (16" x 24" )I did of a Sherpa woman. This lady seems to have all the stories of the world within the leathery lines of her face. My friend Brad took the picture I inspired myself from and he even got to give her a print of the piece!

After 2 weeks of donations, I will randomly pull a name among all of you generous donors and the original will go to you. That is that simple. Your opportunity to get it for cheap and help a very good cause.

As noted in the invitation for Ameren's 2nd Annual No Shave November Mustache Competition, we're asking each of this year's participants to please donate (or fundraise from friends and family) at least $25 to standing up to cancer. All funds raised will go to FOOD OUTREACH.
 
Established in 1988, FOOD OUTREACH continues to be the only nonprofit organization in the greater St. Louis Area that is focused on providing comprehensive nutritional support to low-income individuals with life-threatening illness - specifically Cancer or HIV/AIDS. The FOOD OUTREACH facility is located at 3117 Olive St., less than 2 miles from the GOB. 

FOOD OUTREACH provides nutritious meals, groceries, on-site pharmaceutical consultation, and nutrition education and counseling to clients residing in 137 Missouri and Illinois zip codes to enhance their quality of life and optimize their medical treatments.

FOOD OUTREACH clients may: - be indigent, - find preparing meals difficult or impossible due to disease or treatment, - be in the workplace and can extend their employment by removing extraneous demands on their energy, - not have consistent access to nutritious foods.
