Tigers, Lions, and Bears, OH MY! Our animals come from all walks of life and need your help TODAY!! Their medical needs are our number one priority.

Here at Forever Wild, we give our animals a forever home of peace and tranquility. Apart of that, is attending to their daily medical needs. Most of our animals are geriatric. So, they require a lot more attention than most animals younger in age do.

Our most recent, animals in need of medical care are Crystal, our White Tigress, and Nakita, our Lioness.

Crytsal was defanged and declawed previous coming to Forever Wild. This procedure is usually done by humans to make them “safer” for human contact. Unfortunately, Crystal has had a double infection in those teeth that were cut down and had to have them permanently removed. As of now she is on intense antibiotics to stop the infection from progressing and pain medication to help her keep comfortable.

Nakita, our lioness, unfortunately just like our late Nadia has a pyometra. As many of you may know, Nadia, our second lioness was diagnosed with a massive pyometra and underlying cancerous growth in her reproductive organs. Due to this, we had to humanely euthanize her. Now, we are in a position again where Nakita has a pyometra and we are asking for donations a second time to help save a life! Nakita isn’t experiencing as intense of symptoms, but we are still very worried for her health. As of right now, her surgery is scheduled for Aug 30th. The total is about $3k We are praying for a healthy outcome and a stress free recovery.

Help Nadia: Emergency Surgery for Our Beloved Lioness
We urgently need your help for our sweet Nadia, one of our treasured lionesses at Forever Wild. Recently, Nadia has shown signs of severe distress, including discharge, and a reluctance to eat or drink. Our veterinary team suspects a severe infection in her uterus, putting her life at significant risk.

Immediate action is required to provide Nadia with the lifesaving surgery she needs—a spay procedure to remove the infected uterus. Unfortunately, complications have arisen because Nadia is refusing oral medications, making her condition more perilous. We also face the challenge of acquiring injectable medications to stabilize her condition before and after surgery.

What We Need:

The costs for Nadia’s surgery and necessary medications are substantial. We are setting a starter fundraising goal of $2,000 but also hope to cover not only the surgery but:

• Injectable and post-operative medications

• Ongoing care and monitoring during her recovery

Help donate to Forever Wild's Vet Bills
We are raising money to benefit Forever Wild Animal Sanctuary and the recent Vet bills that have accumulated over the past couple of months. As a 501(c)-3 non-profit exotic animal rescue, we are dedicated to nurturing and supporting our animal's medical needs around the clock. Unfortunately, the vet bills have started to pile up rapidly in recent months. As many of our loyal followers know, we are home to primarily geriatric exotic animals. This means that we have a critical duty to provide continuous delicate care to most of the animals that call Forever Wild home.

Just recently, on March 2nd, we were informed by our exotic veterinarian that our precious White-faced Capuchin Monkey, Mugwi, has a possibility of having cancer. Unfortunately, we won't know for sure until this coming Friday. Other patients like Taj, our male tiger, is experiencing what we believe to be arthritis in his back legs. Diesel, our spotted leopard, is having issues with his paws. This is the result of our animals living healthy, longer lives than they usually would in the wild. But, just like us, they get older and require special care as they continue to live comfortable lives here at Forever Wild.

So, we ask our community to help us more than ever now as we journey into a new path. Any donation will help impact the beloved animals' lives in our care. June Lovejoy (2/22/1953 - 12/21/2020)

All donations provided on this GoFundMe page will support the Forever Wild Exotic Animal Sanctuary in Phelan, California, which like many organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic, has been impacted financially due to a loss of visitors. The sanctuary is in desperate need of funds to continue to operate and feed their animals.

One of those consistent visitors to Forever Wild before the pandemic was June Lovejoy. Whenever her kids or grandkids would visit, a trip to the sanctuary was always planned. The excitement and joy that the kids and grandkids had as they viewed Gypsy, the African lion or Diesel, the leopard, was always captured from the camera that June carried. The photos from these trips have been cherished, but even more so recently, as June passed away suddenly on December 21, 2020 from COVID-19.

The photos that June took on many of these outings have been a reprieve for our family as we continue to go through the grieving process and we rely heavily on these memories to help heal during this difficult time. June had the ability to turn anything mundane into something magical and fun. She brought joy and happiness to anyone who knew her personally, and even those that never met her.

Please help us by donating to this GoFundMe page to support Forever Wild Exotic Animal Sanctuary and ensure that this amazing organization is able to continue their great efforts in taking care of and protecting exotic animals. Although June left a void that will be impossible to refill, our family wishes to continue her legacy and memory by supporting this grassroots organization that she would have wanted every family and child to visit, enjoy, learn, and gain the love for animals.
