St. Charles Borromeo School is a private, Catholic PreK-8th grade school located in Harlem, New York City. Since 1904, St. Charles has been proudly serving the African American community of Harlem. As many Catholic schools in the country have closed and consolidated, St. Charles is thriving, with strong enrollment, improved test scores, and a passionate faculty and leadership.
Though our cost to educate is significantly lower than most public schools in the area, tuition does not cover the entire cost. As a private school, St. Charles relies on philanthropy and donations for additional student programming, classroom supplies, and tuition assistance for our families.
