About Friends of Hoja Nueva

Hoja Nueva is a leading conservation organization confronting the multifaceted threats to the biodiversity of the Peruvian Amazon. With the ownership of over 3,000 hectares of primary rainforest, the organization’s mission is to protect and fortify Amazonian ecosystems by combating wildlife trafficking, rescuing and rewilding animals, and running a first-of-its-kind ecological research station and education center. Founded in 2015, Hoja Nueva maintains its U.S. headquarters in Washington State with its field operations, rehabilitation facilities and research center in the Madre de Dios region of the Peruvian Amazon.
