Helping Today, Investing in Tomorrow
With the Stowe C19 General Relief Fund, our community came together and supported one another through the pandemic. Now, we have the opportunity to make this support system a permanent asset to our town.
The Stowe Community Fund will continue to provide assistance and bridge gaps for people-focused unmet needs in the community. In addition, it will strengthen our town as an inclusive place where individuals, families, and businesses can thrive. We are asking the community to once again come together and help support this initiative.
The beauty of a community fund is that it can grow, develop, and respond on a very personal level. What the Stowe Community Fund evolves into will be determined by community investors such as yourselves. A community fund provides the mechanism to connect people who care to the causes that matter to them.
Stowe Vibrancy is helping with the initial conversion of the Stowe C19 Fund into the Stowe Community Fund, which will be professionally invested by the Vermont Community Foundation. As with the Stowe C19 Fund, the Stowe Community Fund will have its own independent board making decisions on its disbursement. With a volunteer board and only 2% in administrative fees, 98% of donations will go directly to helping the people of our community.
Stowe has funds that are focused on the physical offerings of our town, but we lack a fund that is primarily focused on the people of our community. . . the Stowe Community Fund looks to bridge this gap.
Thank you for your support!
