Randolph - Shizukuishi Exchange Project is fundraising
Randolph-Shizukuishi Exchange Project
We are thrilled that in June 2024, students from Randolph Union Middle School will be participating in our annual cultural exchange with Shizukuishi Junior High School in Japan for the first time since the pandemic!
For nearly thirty years, students in the Randolph Union community have had the opportunity to travel to Japan, stay with host families, and engage in cultural exchange, learning more about the world around them and becoming a global citizen.
One highlight of our program is that unlike other experiences, we prioritize students who have not previously engaged in international travel, and who may not have this opportunity in the future. Our partners in Shizukuishi Junior High School visit Randolph each year, staying with members of the community and attending Randolph Union.
In order to make this experience happen, we turn to our community-- you! For our students, the cost to travel is frequently prohibitive, and the support of the community allows for students to engage in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The Randolph-Shizukuishi Exchange Project is a 501c(3) that has been built to support this work in partnership with Randolph Union Middle High School. Donations toward our fundraising goal of $40,000 may be tax deductible (Employer Identification Number, 20-5373812. We plan to celebrate our community partners in the Spring during one of our weekly Japanese culture classes and with the larger community as we get closer to traveling.
Please consider making a donation toward making this special trip possible. Our students will be forever grateful for your support.
