Support Mothers and Babies in the Dominican Republic
This year, we celebrate 30 years of helping mothers and babies in the Dominican Republic at the time where they are most vulnerable: birth, postpartum, and the first few years of life that are so important for their future.
We provide mostly education and some equipment needed to sustain programs of care such as:
Prenatal care, delivery, and newborn care teaching how to attend to sick and small babies in the first minutes of life and transfer these babies to intensive care areas of the hospital for their care and treatment.
We help in the Kangaroo Care program, providing education and support in all 22 programs in the country.
We help in the prevention of infection and have obtained increased survival in babies where our programs are working.
