APD Beta Lambda, Shave for Cancer
Greetings All!
As many of you know one of the victims of the Dayton Shooting was Nicohlas Cumer. He is greatly missed by family, friends, and those whole only knew him for a short time.
It goes without saying that he was very passionate about many things; Batman, Dragon Ball Z, his Beard, and the rehabilitation of cancer patients.
The brothers of Alpha Phi Delta, current and alumni, will be honoring his memory during his favorite month, No Shave November. But there will be a twist! The person who can get the most donations in their name to the gofundme link (see details below) will have to shave their hair in solidarity to those who go through chemo and radiation, and to Nick's passion and dedication to those who are battling cancer. All proceeds will be going to our philanthropy, the Cancer Treatment Centers of America who send all of their donations to the Gateway for Cancer Research.
The rules are simple, please consider donating to the cause and comment the name of who you would like to see shave their head so we can keep track on who is raising what amount. If the group can raise a collective of $1,500 the individual who raises the most amount of money will shave their head! Also, the Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Delta at Saint Francis University will match an additional $1,000 if the goal is met. All of the money raised (100% of the fundraising) will be going to the Cancer Centers of America, the chapter itself will not be profiting from any of the money. Let us spread the awareness of men's health and support those who are currently battling cancer.
DISCLAIMER: The brother will shave their head ONLY IF $1,500 is raised. The Beta Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Delta will be donating a MINIMUM of $500. If the $1,500 goal is reached, the chapter will donate $1,000 instead.
Here are the names of the brothers who will be participating: John Nguyen (current President), Tyler Spreng (vice-president), Desmend Philips (Secretary), Logan Bowser, Lucas Greaves, Tommy Nguyen, Zachary Lahart, Carter Polacek, Aidan Sweeney, and Edmond Altschaffl. The alumni who are participating include: Connor Mcdonnell, Zach Kelly, Kevin Charney, Tim Hornick, Tim Kramer, Jared Pavlosky, Andrew Lobb, Dorian Drake, Mike Vaughen, Nick Johnson, and Matthew Nichol.
The deadline will be December 5th, thank you for your time and support!
