Glad Tidings San Francisco

In 2017/2018, I had the opportunity to do missions in Bolivia and partnered with the organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM) to work alongside their ministry initiatives.

One of the highlights of my trip was serving at a special needs orphanage and blessing all of the Bolivian children with Vacation Bible School programs, outreaches, and other God-centered activities.

This time around, my church and I get to do mission work in Cochabamba, Bolivia to support children who are living in garbage dumps and slums. We are partnered with Michael Brown, a missionary who planted a children's church in the middle of this landfill.

This summer, an amazing opportunity awaits me as I embark on a journey to BOLIVIA with my church! It's my very FIRST mission trip, and my excitement continues to grow as I eagerly anticipate sharing the gospel in a new country. With a heart full of gratitude, I'll have the privilege to minister to kids of all ages, sharing the love of Jesus Christ and contributing to many different outreaches.

I'm thrilled to share an incredible opportunity that's close to my heart. In June, my oldest son, Mateo, and I, along with a group of other members from our church, Glad Tidings, are heading to Bolivia.

In Bolivia, countless children face daily challenges ranging from poverty to lack of access to education and healthcare. Through this mission trip, we'll partner with a local church and provide essential support, care, and hope to these young children. I'm also excited and grateful for the opportunity to accompany Mateo on his first mission trip.

This summer from June 2-14, I am excited to have the unique opportunity to go on my FIRST mission trip to Bolivia! Alongside members from my church, we will be going to Cochabamba, Bolivia to provide for the needs of the kids who are currently living in trash dumps.

Throughout my life, I have been quite involved in service and volunteer organizations and I believe that there is always someone with a need that should be met. From serving in nonprofits that target those facing homelessness and addiction to currently being involved in a college community service organization that encourages children and youth to pursue higher education, I have a heart to serve others in any capacity. Now, being able to participate in service internationally is something I am so honored and grateful to take part in!

Come partner with what God is doing in Bolivia by donating any amount you desire and keeping the team in your prayers! The funds will go towards flight costs and most importantly, the needs of the kids!

This summer, I have the opportunity to travel to Cochabamba, Bolivia with a team to help a ministry that serves children and families living near the garbage dump in the mountain city of Cochabamba. Our team will be assisting with programs at a center for boy's and girls' empowerment and doing some construction work to help expand the center.

Last summer, I went on my first mission trip to the Philippines with my church (Glad Tidings San Francisco). I helped launch a new church, feed the hungry, and love the community of San Fernando. It was such a life-changing and eye-opening experience.

This summer, I had another opportunity to serve and love people by helping kids living in horrible conditions in Cochabamba, Bolivia.

It's been six years since I last heeded the call to 'go' and this June I'm headed to the trash heaps of Bolivia in Cochabamba to help meet materials needs and bring hope to the kids who live...well, in the trash piles. Yes, it's heartbreaking. It can feel like, what can one person possibly do?

But you probably already believe - like I do - in the difference that one person can make in another person's life, and I feel like on some level I was created to do this - here in San Francisco and overseas.

Please hear me - every dollar counts. It is the rare person who is able to give $1,000. So much fundraising success comes from the people who give $5 and $50 and $100. If that's something you'd like to do, please do contribute here.

More than half of the financial goal is for need-meeting in country. The rest is for the costs of getting and being there.

In the past 2 summers I had the opportunity to do missions with my church (Glad Tidings San Francisco), in Ghana, Africa (2022) and Pampanga, Philippines (2023). I was able to help with construction of a new church plant, help orphans, feed the hungry, and so much more.

This summer I have another opportunity to expand God's kingdom by helping kids in Cochabamba, Bolivia who are currently living in a trash dump.
