Fruit trees for Nepal village Hathibang
Hi, I'm Rob Rowen, and I'm raising funds for Global Action Coalition, an organization committed to fostering social justice and equity on a global scale. The village of Hathibang in the south of Nepal needs help creating a cottage industry to sustain their existence. They have asked me for 300 fruit trees. This will create work for families. We are looking at kiwi, cherry and orange trees that will grow in their location. The cost for a tree is only $2. Imagine how much fruit one tree can produce and multiply that by 300. Please any amount will help. I have already gotten donations for 162 trees. Can you spare $5, $10 or $20 to this program? Remember $20 is 40 trees. These trees will live for many years producing food and a livelihood and it is just an easy way to help these people. The people of this village, the Chepong have lived the same way for thousands of years living a subsistence life growing rice and millet. They usually run out of food during the year and people have learned how to go into the forests to find edible foods to keep their families with food. Children there average 2 meals a day at best. So you can see your contribution will make a difference. 100% of all donations will go to buying trees or transportation of the trees to the village. Global Action has no employees or anyone taking a salary. Please share this and your help is so greatly appreciated. Rob Rowen, President, GAC
