Recently, our community faced an unexpected and devastating setback. Twenty semi-trucks of food were abruptly canceled. This amounts to more than 500,000 pounds of food that would have gone directly to families in need through the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. In a city where so many already struggle to put meals on the table, this loss has left thousands scrambling to fill the gap.
But in Cleveland, we don't back down when our neighbors are hurting - we step up.
This is the heart of the 20 Truck Fundraising Campaign. We are rallying together to raise the funds needed to recover this lost food, to fill the shelves that are running bare, and to send a clear message: we see you, and we've got your back.
