Greg Moyer AED Fund
SCA is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. Approximately 356,000 people of all ages experience SCA each year and nine out of 10 victims die.
December 2, 2000 Greg played 10 minutes in a basketball game, walked into the locker room and went into Sudden Cardiac Arrest. No AED was available and CPR was not started for over 10 minutes. Paramedics arrived 30 minutes later, at which time his heart began to beat miraculously after being shocked with an AED. However, he was unable to sustain his heartbeat on the ride to the hospital. Cause of death was Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). The ER told us that Greg could have probably been saved with an AED. Our mission began the night of his death.
Greg Moyer Defibrillator Fund has purchased and granted AEDs to schools and other places of public gathering as well as with first responding emergency medical assistance groups.
Help by raising money to make AEDs easily accessible to ensure that everybody gets a second chance at life. Your donations will help purchase AEDs for schools, public places, police vehicles, and much more.
Don't wait until it's too late, SCA can happen anytime and anywhere. Make sure you and your loved ones are prepared. It could be the difference between life and death.
