About Guerrilla Gardeners of Washington DC

Guerrilla Gardeners of Washington DC improves public spaces, particularly neglected parcels in underserved communities. Our 100% volunteer nonprofit group provides leadership, knowledge, organization, volunteer labor and supplies in collaboration with residents to create more equitable, attractive, usable and safer green spaces for their neighborhoods. Our goal is to encourage and empower residents to maintain and build on these improvements. We also transform underutilized public spaces into pollinator habitats to support birds, bees and butterflies as well as perform historic restoration of public landmarks and other beautification activities. We also conduct a training program in landscaping and urban agriculture for underserved youth facing housing instability and food insecurity.
