Founded in 1990, The Harambee House is a Savannah-based NGO focused on advancing environmental justice through civic engagement, sustained partnerships, and collective action. Led by environmental justice icon Dr. Mildred McClain, The Harambee House is a cornerstone in their community and across much of the Southeast.
In the last week, The Harambee House has been reeling from a number of COVID19 cases amongst their staff. The communities that Harambee House serves are experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic on top of environmental, social, and economic injustices. The Harambee House plays a critical role in offering support, resources, and leadership to communities disproportionately harmed by these intersecting crises.
Please join us in supporting this critical organization as it scrambles to ensure the health and safety of their community members during this challenging time, and in the months to come.
