Harmony Heights School

My name is Laura, and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of the nonprofit Harmony Heights. Last week, on May 15th, 2023, a fire broke out at Harmony Heights in the middle of the night, causing significant damage to a portion of their building. Thankfully no one was hurt, and they have been able to move to a temporarily remote program while they recover from the fire and restore the damaged areas.

About Harmony:

Harmony Heights is a charity that has been providing free therapeutic and educational services for teenaged girls and their families for 49 years. As the parent of a Harmony graduate, I can speak firsthand to the way that Harmony and its staff have been there to support my daughter and myself during the most difficult times of our lives, and I know that I speak for many other parents and students whose lives have also been made better by Harmony.

How We Can Help:

While Harmony DOES have insurance, there are many things that insurance will NOT cover, particularly in the upcoming weeks as they continue to prepare for things like finals, Regents exams, and graduation for their seniors and make sure that the kids have everything they need.

Harmony has always been there for my family and me and countless other families like ours, and now is the time for all of US to be there for Harmony and to show our support. Harmony’s staff pour their hearts and souls into the work they do supporting our children, and while I know they will come through this better and stronger than ever, I know that being supported by the community they’ve served for 49 years will mean a great deal to them.
