Please help us raise funds for a much-needed surgery for our beloved cat, King— blue-eyed, lovable, 4-year-old, zig-zag walking Snowshoe.

When King came into Hart 2 Heart Animal Rescue in April 2021, we soon discovered that King has mild cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), commonly known as Wobbly Cat Syndrome. We watched him as he walked in circles and ran in straight lines, never quite sure which direction he would go, but enjoying life nonetheless!

King is a snuggle bug and a lover of all people and animals. He brings such joy and truly loves life but that life is now being threatened repeatedly by obstructions in his bladder.

Things changed for King on December 23, 2024. He was posturing as if he needed to go to the bathroom, his front and back private parts were red and his stomach was convulsing, resembling dry heaving.

We immediately took King to Urgent Care, where we were informed that his bladder was the size of a baseball and that he was unable to urinate due to a urinary obstruction, requiring emergency care. He was assessed and underwent surgery to relieve the obstruction in his bladder.

Things initially looked promising, and he stayed there for two days for care and monitored evaluation. However, on December 25, his bladder had become re-obstructed, and he required a second surgery. King came home on December 27, but he is still not out of the woods. He will need another surgery, a perineal urethrostomy, in the coming week to help prevent future urinary blockages.

We urgently need help to provide King with the life-saving surgery he desperately requires. It is heartbreaking to see him suffer and we want to ensure he receives the veterinary care he deserves.

Hi, I'm Meredith and I've been fostering Glitter since late August, through Hart 2 Heart Animal Rescue here in Philadelphia. I'm writing to help the rescue raise funds for some serious dental work that she desperately needs to live free of pain.

Glitter's hard-knock life has included living in a hoarding situation where she had to fight for food, being thrown out on the street when she became pregnant, and falling victim to some mean neighborhood kids who took advantage of her trusting nature to rip out her spay stitches. But if that's not enough ...

It turns out that Glitter has stomatitis, a nasty immune disease among certain cats that causes severe inflammation and makes eating incredibly painful—it's like having a whole mouth full of canker sores that never go away! Her pain is currently being managed with a steroid and antibiotics, but these are just short-term symptom-control measures that don't address the root problem.

The only way to rid her of stomatitis for good is to pull at least some of her teeth. (It sounds brutal, but lots of cats do well and are much happier and pain-free after this surgery!)

Glitter's dental surgery is scheduled for Thursday, October 31. (Yep, on Halloween!) While Hart2Heart is helping with the costs, they're funded entirely by donations and also have other fosters in their care with big-ticket medical needs. That's why I'm reaching out.

Hello everyone, I am raising funds for Hart to Heart Animal Rescue to help cover the cost for a lifesaving procedure. Antonio, a sweet ginger boy, was found outside and rescued from a colony of cats after the caretaker noticed he was injured. Antonio was then taken to PAWS to have his injuries looked at and to be TNR'd where it was noted that he had a rectal prolapse that might heal after treatment for tapeworms. After a few weeks the prolapse hadn't healed fully and Hart to Heart was asked to take Antonio under rescue. H2H didn't hesitate to get him the surgery he needed. Unfortunately, he needed a 2nd surgery and is not out of the woods yet. The rescue stepped in and I want to help them by raising funds to help cover some of the costs. Antonio is a very affectionate, curious bundle of joy and has been given a second chance at life. I am helping to raise funds for Hart 2 Heart Animal Rescue to help cover the medical costs of Buddy who needs a complete dental.

I met Buddy when I decided to foster for Hart 2 Heart and immediately fell in love. I wanted to do what I could to help with Buddy’s care and recovery.

Unfortunately, Buddy has needed a dental for some time but his previous owner was sick herself and couldn’t afford it so his teeth are really in urgent need of major dental work.

The rescue is funded entirely by donations and Buddy’s care will is over $1300.

We are posting this fundraiser to ask for the community's general support. So far this year Hart2Heart Animal Rescue has taken in over 250 cats and almost 25 dogs. We have recently had ER bills of $3000 and $1500 for 2 kittens in particular and need to re-coop some of this money in order to continue to help other animals. H2H are an all-volunteer, 100% donation-based rescue and need community support to continue this work. Hart2Heart Animal Rescue is an official non-profit 501(c)3. If everyone would give $5 or $10 it would help us pay down this debt. This $4,500 is just for 2 animals, but many animals also needed help with less expensive price tags that we took in without hesitation. We have done over 15 dentals on dogs and cats, several entropion eye surgeries, had a cat with a 6/6 heart murmur that needed a cardiologists care, a cat with an anal prolapse that required 2 surgeries, a cat with an ear polyp that needed surgical removal, 2 cats with megaesophagus that needed special tests and care, a cat with chemical burns, and puppy with parvo, just to name a few of the special cases we took on. This doesn't include the many abused or neglected animals that came infested with fleas, infected with URI and just needing minor vet care to get healthy. All H2H animals get the vet care needed in addition to being fixed, vaccinated, tested, and chipped. Can you help us continue to do this work? Whatever you give goes to help an animal in need.

Help Amber and Mason escape abuse and find their "happily ever after"

Amber and Mason lived in a feral colony. Sadly that colony was beng targeted by a cruel individual who was trying to injure the cats living there. The cats were discovered and captured by some very lovely people who are now caring for them in a foster arrangement. These two kitties are feral so they aren't adoptable to a regular home and we can not set them back into the dangerous place where they were living. However we have found a special home on a 20 acre property with 5 goats and 2 lovings cat butlers who are super excited to bond with these two at whatever level they are willing.

Amber and Mason need vet care. Before we can send them to this kitty paradise, we need to get them vet care including tests, vaccines, microchips and dental care. The cost of one dental alone is $600!

The people who found them are donating some of their own money to help fund this. Can you help us get the rest of the way to send Amber and Mason to their happily ever after home?

Pat the cat is an emergency intake for Hart 2 Heart animal rescue with severe chemical burns on his body! The call from a frantic supporter of the rescue came at 3AM, requesting medical help for this little angel.

Despite the torture he has endured, this sweet boy doesn’t even need to be sedated when we are cleaning and caring for his wounds! Who could possibly have been this cruel?

This super sweet baby must recognize that he is safe and that we are going to make it all better! We need your support to provide the medical care, shelter, and attention Pat needs to recover!

Please show Pat that humans aren’t all monsters and give him the love and support he deserves!

Update 8/6/24

Bud had a check up today at the vet. His handsome coat is coming back (it had to be shaved to remove Matted fur and many harmful ticks.). His wounds are healing, his sore foot is better. The best news is his blood sugar stabilized and he isn’t diabetic. But he is FIV positive and he is feral. He has been living in a cage with his amazing caregiver Jill but he still can not be handled.

The next challenge will be finding Bud a permanent living situation. He can not go back where he was because of his fiv status and because someone was trying to hurt him. Please keep Bud in your prayer intentions - that he continues to improve and finds a furever home.

Update

Bud is a very sick cat. The vet had to shave his matted coat and he was covered in ticks. He is malnourished, anemic, FIV positive and potentially diabetic. Luckily he does not have Lyme disease. He also has an injured foot and numerous cuts. It is good that he was captured when he was! He is living with a foster and will need further veterinary care in 2 weeks. Please support his care!! As many of you know, my retirement job is helping at a cat rescue. This morning I was transporting Bud, the cat, to the vet. When I asked what was wrong with Bud, I was told he was a feral cat and someone was trying to injure him with mouse traps and a BB gun. We won't know until his Vet exam is done the full extent of his injuries. In addition, there were 2 other adults and 8 kittens rescued with Bud.

I have not been able to stop thinking about Bud all morning. I talked to him in the car as he cowered in his cage - telling that not all people are bad.

Our rescue is funded entirely by donations and Bud's care will likely top $1000! Today I am challenging my friends - can I get one hundred people to share $10 to help Bud recover?
