Support Harvest Home Fair
DONATIONS ARE GIVEN DIRECTLY TO THE HARVEST HOME FAIR ASSOC. I will personally never handle the funds.
Harvest Home Fair has been a beloved tradition on the west side of Cincinnati since 1860. It's the "biggest little fair in Ohio." The record breaking rain levels we received this weekend unfortunately made it impossible to attend. Hundreds of hours go into planning for this memorable weekend and it is all volunteers who make it such a fun event.
The proceeds from the fair is the ONLY fundraiser for the Cheviot/Westwood Kiwanis Club who then pours all of the funds raised into our communities and helps support children. http://www.harvesthomefair.com/about/#contributions
The deficit this year is going to greatly impact what Cheviot/Westwood Kiwanis club is able to in our communities. I encourage everyone who was planning to attend but couldn't due to the rain to donate what you would have spent at the fair. Let's show Cheviot/Westwood Kiwanis Club how much we appreciate their time and commitment to the greatest tradition the west side has.
My family has been and still is very involved in the planning and execution of the parade and fair. My Grandfather was nicknamed the "official french fryer" of the fair and my dad, Mike Huhn, currently helps plan both the parade, fair and 4H. I also have countless cousins, aunts and uncles who also volunteer their time to help make the event a success. My dad said this evening "I've been involved in the fair for 22 years...we've never had a loss like this."
Westsiders!! Let's show up for Kiwanis and help make the fair a success for them this year!
