The primary mission of Harvest912 is to provide accessible, no-cost foot care and foot wear to individuals impacted by homelessness and economic disenfranchisement. We originally provided podiatry clinics and distributed new foot wear through local homeless shelters. However, we quickly recognized the need for innovative approaches to service delivery. In 2021, with funding from Hamot Health Foundation and from the Erie Community Foundation we designed and built our Mobile Foot care Clinic. This state-of-the-art vehicle allows our clinicians and volunteers to provide care and support in a patient-centric environment, building trust and facilitating a stronger relationship with traditional health-care providers.
