Hawaii Foodbank

All of us are affected by the COVID-19 outbreak globally, locally, and in our own homes.  Since the outbreak, Hawaii has taken over 200,000 jobless claims.  The need for food in Hawaii has increased more than 30% and continues to rise.  Hensel Phelps' Pacific District W-Net is offering a way to help by way of donation.  Throughout the month of May, we are raising funds for Hawaii Food Bank in hopes of making a difference.  Join with as us we do our part in the fight against COVID-19 and hunger in Hawaii.  Just $10 can help to provide 25 meals to our ohana and W-Net will match up to $2,000 in donations.

The Hawaii Foodbank is in dire need of our community's help as they prepare for COVID-19's impact. 

"Demand has gone up. Supply has changed.  Our donation flow has slowed," said Ron Mizutani, the head of the nonprofit.

1 in 8 Hawaii residents rely on the Foodbank's assistance network each day.  That number will increase dramatically as many of the support mechanisms that our residents rely on are put on hold.
