More information about Heavenly Paws Animal Shelter Inc.: Heavenly Paws is a non-profit organization that provides safe and secure homes for sick, abused, homeless, and handicapped cats. All cats are properly vaccinated and spayed or neutered. All donations will go right to the rescue to help save these amazing felines and to get them to their forever home. Heavenly Paws has been active in the community for 17 years with providing shelter, food, medical care, and much more! 2022 was an extremely busy year with 866 cats saved! The vet bills have taken a heavy financial toll on our funds. We are asking for your support to give a sweet life to these deserving felines. 

We have multiple cats at Heavenly Paws who have veterinary expenses and you will meet the six below.

Lucinda (Lucy) - White senior kitty: Lucy is an advanced age senior. She was found in the middle of the road. She has cataracts and extremely bad teeth. She is having surgery for entropic eyelids (the eyelids fold into the eye causing irritation). Lucy will most likely need dental surgery as well. She is blind and deaf but the sweetest fluff ball you’d ever meet. Lucy is going for her dental on July 13th and we were told her dental will cost around $1,200-1,500. Lucy is one of our Long Term fosters.

 

Abby: Abby is about 6 months old and is a very sassy dilute Torti. She hates other cats. She's getting friendly with her foster but then gets mad at her when the other cats come around. She sees the vet on Tuesday about her eye (she only can see with 1 eye). Her foster thinks she would be a lovely little girl in a home with less animals.

 

Salem: Hi I’m Salem. I’m sorry that my foster mommy is terrible at taking my picture. It’s kinda my fault though. I won’t stop trying to love on her. She’s so nice and keeps kissing me on the lips. She knows I can’t see her but I can hear and sense her. Don’t feel bad because I lost my eyes. I get along just fine. Adopt me and I can show you!!! I think I’m around a year old now. I love everyone and everything. I use my potty pan and find my food just fine. See I’m even smiling in the bad picture my foster mommy took. Salem is currently up for adoption. He sees the vet on Tuesday about his eyes.

Blinders - Have you seen a cuter face ever?! Yes sadly she’s missing both eyes. She was rescued from a bad situation of many sick cats. She has been vet checked and there’s nothing needed to be done for her. She uses the litter box and knows where her food dishes. She is able to find her way around quite well. She loves to follow me all around and talk to me. She climbs up on my lap and shoulder. She’s not thrilled with other cats but could adjust to 1 or 2 that are nice to her when she bumps into them. She is only about a year old. Blinders is currently up for adoption.

 

Chase - Chase is the brother of Pete and Willie in our 1st Go Fund Me fundraiser. Chase is 4 months old and only weighs 2 pounds. He may have FIP. He had $250 of bloodwork done to see if there is anything else. He is the sweetest boy.

 

Mr. Chubbs: He is so beat up, missing ears and a wounded leg.

We have had so many injured cats lately with high veterinary expenses. You will meet 6 of them below and we will update about each one of them whenever we can. We truly appreciate any donations we receive. Thank you very much in advance.

Meet Baby Max, Brie, Sweet Pea, Pete, Willie and Argyle.

Baby Max (black) is a sweet 2 year old neutered male that came in with a severe front ankle wound. We think the foot is damaged and it has a leaking abscess. We will know more on Thursday, April 6th.

Brie (tabby) was found in an apartment complex where nobody is allowed to have pets or they would have gladly taken her in. She is a lovely little girl probably only about a year old. She has a very large deep wound on her rear end that smells horribly infected. We will know more on Thursday, April 6th.

Sweet Pea (calico) is a beautiful young lady at 2 to 4 years old. Some soulless person apparently threw her out because she came in spayed and front declawed. She was attacked by something and tore up both sides of her body. We suspect a dog. She is doing well and even has a potential home.

Pete and Willie (black) are 4 week old brothers. Willie has the eye issue where he will need one eye removed. The other eye is questionable. Pete has the leg issue where he has a stump of a back leg. We do not know what happened but he will need it amputated.

Argyle (orange and white) just had all of his teeth removed.

We have another 5 cats who need veterinary attention. Meet BK, Tater Tot, Boozer, Grizzy and Candy.

BK (top left) :

BK is probably going to need his tail amputated as it is broken in the middle. He is around 5-6 months.

Tater Tot (top right):

He is a very sweet boy around 2-3 years old and needs a blood transfusion because he is anemic. His blood transition might be $2,000 or more.

Boozer (bottom left):

Boozer was found in the wheel well of a truck at Beer distributor in Hanover when he was 12 weeks old on 4/1. The person was going to release him to the woods when one of the store employees grabbed him and contacted us. He tested positive for calicivirus which usually resolves....but Boozer had a severe case. He is being treated with multiple antibiotics, eye ointments, etc. He is on his way to recovery but still has a little way to go. Boozer is now 18 weeks old.

Grizzy and Candy (bottom middle and bottom right):

They are senior sisters who need dentals (could be around $300 each or so).

Heavenly Paws Animal Shelter, Inc. is a cat rescue based out of Seven Valleys in York County, PA. We have many foster homes throughout York County and take in lots of cats who have medical issues each year.

This weekend we had over $5,000 in ER bills as well as $2,000 for a cat who had a leg amputated.

Also, we have a kitten who is seeing a neurologist because he knuckles on his rear feet which causes sores as he drags his feet on the floor. He needs to see a veterinary neurologist, which is far from cheap. Just an exam is $200 and an MRI costs $2000-$4000! None of that covers treatment.

Lastly, we have a cat who was thrown out like trash who came in with maggots in a terrible wound. He needs a full mouth extraction and x-rays which will be about $1,500.

Funds raised will be used for their veterinary expenses. Donations received will help our cats live better lives.
