Thetford Academy ODW is fundraising
Support Help Kids India with Thetford Academy ODW
Want to join us in making a difference? Thetford Academy is raising money to benefit Help Kids India, Inc., and any donation will help make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
Help Kids India, Inc. supports three creches (preschools) for 170 impoverished children in rural areas of South India. The schools are run by its Indian partner, The Betsy Elizabeth Trust, and provide safety, health care, nutrition, and early education for children 2-5 years old. The money raised here will go directly towards feeding these children six days a week.
We, at Thetford Academy, are part of a nationwide, student-led organization called Operation Day's Work (ODW). Across the U.S., there are a total of ten schools involved in this program, and by working together each year, we have been able to meet our goal of $10,000 to support a chosen humanitarian project in another country. At Thetford Academy, we send out groups of our students for one day each year to do paid work in the community, which has proved to be an effective way of fundraising. However, due to the impacts of COVID-19, social distancing measures prevent us from raising money in this way. It is for this reason that we would greatly appreciate anything you have to offer to this cause.
Thank you for your support!
