Ian Fergie is fundraising

L Catterton Charity Ride
It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a year since the onset of the pandemic. While we all had to quickly adapt to new social norms, and video conferencing became the new 'grabbing a coffee', it’s hard to deny that some connectivity is lost going from physical to virtual interactions. As a remedy, several of us organizing this fundraiser have been regularly getting together on weekends for bike rides. We’ve found it to be a great way to get out of the city, to reconnect with friends, and, most importantly, to have fun (the calorie burn is a plus!).
In this same spirit, we're organizing a bike ride with friends/family on the route of the iconic Gran Fondo NY race. The annual race, which attracts competitive and amateur cyclists from all over the world, has been cancelled this year, so we thought why not make our own mini event?
In connection with the event, we are setting up a GoFundMe to raise funds on behalf of Henry Street Settlement, an amazing organization that has been helping the underserved community in New York for over 125 years. This is a great opportunity to give back to the communities close to us, and to help those that have been deeply affected by COVID.
Please consider helping out with any amount you can. Nothing is too small and a little most definitely goes a long way!

About Henry Street Settlement
Henry Street Settlement opens doors of opportunity for Lower East Side residents and other New Yorkers through social services, arts, and health care programs. The Settlement’s 127-year-old blueprint for listening to their neighbors and taking action in times of need, and their dedicated and flexible team, have enabled them to pivot and create multiple new programs in response to the COVID-19 crisis, while carrying out existing programs either in-person or remotely.
