The ancient Greek word οδος [hodos] means “the way” or “the journey”, carrying with it the notion of “development and maturity.” Metaphorically, it expresses what might be described as “ways of thinking, feeling and behaving”. The leadership approach, which I refer to in this book as "hodos leadership", thus employs a well-known spiritual metaphor universally referred to as The Way or The Path. In the book I explore different aspects of the hodos metaphor, with the idea of inviting my readers to reflect upon and advance good leadership in their personal or organizational capacities whatever those might be.

The book contains stories, case studies, and insights from my extensive leadership research and practice. Within its pages, I explore the mindset, model, and maturity of leadership. I elucidate the value of Christian spirituality in advancing good leadership, with a focus on the theology of work and leadership development.
