Raising funds and awareness for HomeAid project
** Run/ Bike for HomeAid with the Winchester Mission** ️
Hello friends, family, and supporters,
September 2nd I will be setting out on a run/bike for a cause. Starting in Pennsylvania, I'll be running the Appalachian Trail through Maryland and West Virginia, ending the run in Virginia. And then I’ll double back to Harpers Ferry to get my bike. From there I’ll be biking along the historic C&O Canal into DC. 42 miles of running, 60 miles of biking. Why, you might ask? To raise both funds and awareness for the ongoing HomeAid project with the Winchester Mission on Valley Avenue.
** About the Cause:**
Currently Winchester Mission is the ONLY open overnight homeless shelter in Winchester. And because of this and limited space the mission is turning down people in need daily! This is where HomeAid comes in. HomeAid, working with the Mission are renovating a new and additional location to help with this overflowing need. This project will allow Winchester Rescue Mission to expand facility capacity, more than doubling our present square footage to respond to those who come to our doors each day. The project will also provide an expanded program space that is focused on human wellness, development, and betterment. Men and women within our care are afforded the opportunities to learn, develop their skills, and reach their goals in life.
** How You Can Help:**
Your generous contributions will go a long way in supporting this projects mission. Your donation will not only inspire me but will also create lasting change for those who need it the most. 100% of any money raised will be donated directly to HomeAid and allocated for this project.
