Donate to Save and Heal Bunnies at Hop On Home
We’re raising money to benefit Hop On Home Rabbit Sanctuary, Inc., and any donation will help make an effort to support our veterinary needs. This year we need some veterinary assistance. We have done amazing things to help bunnies have improved health and we have had some tough days with bunnies with cancer as well. Not everyday in the world of rescue is there a happy ending but with your help we can have as many as possible. This year we had Tito as a baby break his leg and we were lucky to be able to have his class room that fosters him raise some funds for the expenses but we still had the remainder of the bill. They fixed a vertical fracture and put in a Titanium plate with screws so he could keep his leg. We had a bunny with such severe parasites at deaths door that they spent several weeks at Cornell’s animal hospital and they recovered. We lost two buns to cancer this year from the same litter at 2 yrs old but we have hope for the other three litter mates but they will be permanent residence because we would never want to put that on an adoptive family if there’s a genetic link. We helped a fire/hoarding of 18 that came in all at once and needed minor medical treatment but need 16 spays and 2 neuters that weren’t planned. We just took in from code enforcement 4 adult rabbits 1 mother with 4 babies and 1 pregnant doe. She just had 5. That’s 13 spays and neuters not planned. We have jib who needs his teeth trimmed every 6 weeks for malocclusion. We’ve taken in countless strays that all need spaying and neutering and some with parasite treatment plus a bunny that came with a broken leg and recently a paralyzed bunny that needs on going care until a family adopts then just add regular bunny care for antibiotics X-rays tick and flea treatments for those stray buns. It all adds up and here’s a twist our veterinary office is changing their billing system so while we get our monthly billing statements they’d like us to get to a zero balance for the change. We need some help to keep helping those unexpected cases and transitioning to the new billing procedures. We’re asking for your help to keep high standard of care moving forward during this time. We need some help for the bunnies care and to keep the bills paid as we transition through this time. We ask you give what you can. Please remember your donation is tax deductible because we are a 501c3. We suggest for larger donors you discuss with our tax professional. Donors of $2,500 or higher will be listed on our legacy wall at our adoption center as a Continental Giant contributor. We run solely on fundraising and donations when it comes to bunny care and rarely ask for extra but veterinary expenses are our largest expense of the year at $50,000 in our budget and we need a little push right now over the hump during the transition with our veterinarians billing services.
