Empower Parents to Lead in Medical Research for Their Sons
Two fathers are leading an unprecedented push for preclinical research to find answers for their sons, as well as 186 other children in the United States that will benefit from their research. (https://hopeforluka.org/pages/current-area-of-focus)

Hope for Luka, a nonprofit created by one of the mentioned fathers in October of 2022, provides direct access to scientists and resources to parents enabling them to become independent research coordinators, facilitating personalized pre-clinical trials for their children.

Lets get tight to it, here is key information you need to know about our values and mentality:
Conscious Decision-Making
A core accomplishment of Hope for Luka inc. has been making decisions with deep consciousness and intention. Every step we have taken—from launching research studies to securing collaborations—has been guided by intuition, alignment with purpose, and a commitment to using our resources wisely.
Understanding the immense challenge of funding pre-clinical research, we have relied not just on strategy, but on a deep sense of connection to the greater energy that drives meaningful change. This conscious approach has allowed us to navigate uncertainty with clarity and resilience, ensuring that every decision serves the greater mission of advancing treatments for our sons and other children with muscular dystrophy.
Operating Without Pay
Since our nonprofit's formation, our board members have taken on executive and management roles without pay. We understood from the start that raising capital for pre-clinical research would be a monumental challenge, as donors often prefer causes with more certain outcomes. Despite this, we made the necessary sacrifices to push forward, leading to significant progress, including Tushar’s N=2 research study for his sons.
All funds raised will support Hope for Luka's operation to complete our current N=2 research of double exon-skipping of exons 6 and 7 of DMD.
