Mental Health Matters: Hope For The Day
*All donations with my link go directly to HFTD :)*
Hey everyone! As many of you may know, May is the month of mental health awareness. In honour of this, next week I will be running (probably walking some haha) the length from one side of London to the other (which is around a marathon, 25 miles!!), to raise money for this cause.
This year I have chosen to support the charity Hope For The Day (HFTD) - https://www.hftd.org/about-hftd. HFTD is a “non-profit movement empowering the conversation on proactive suicide prevention and mental health education”. The charity does this through outreach, education, and action. Their work is not only seen locally in US, across all 50 states, but globally, across 26 countries. HFTD believes in full transparency: “100% of proceeds go to our suicide prevention and mental health education projects” and they publicly publish their yearly financials (https://www.hftd.org/financials)
HFTD attracted me due to their understanding that a lot of the times suicide can arise when people believe there are no available resources to end their suffering. HFTD believes in proactive prevention, breaking the silence of stigma since 2011. Mental health is something I have struggled with throughout my life and changing the stigma around it is a priority of mine, hence this fundraiser.
Therefore, please donate to my GoFundMe page and make a difference with me to normalise the conversation surrounding mental health!!! Any donations would be very much appreciated, thank you :)
