Support Women Farmers in Conflict Zones – Northern Uganda

In Northern Uganda, women smallholder farmers are the backbone of agriculture, yet they face overwhelming challenges. These include gender-based violence, lack of access to land and credit, and entrenched inequalities. Many are survivors of conflict, displaced, or living in precarious conditions in refugee-hosting communities. Without intervention, these women remain trapped in cycles of poverty and violence, unable to achieve economic independence or safety.

Our Mission:

ERONet is dedicated to breaking these cycles by supporting women farmers with:

Training on sustainable farming practices.

Resources like seeds and tools to enhance productivity.

Advocacy and education to combat gender-based violence.

Economic empowerment programs to foster independence.

ERONet is raising funds for the project "Support Women Farmers in Conflict Zones – Northern Uganda"

HSI will receive these funds from GoFundMe and wire them to the organization. HSI will ensure that they are spent in Uganda as described.

Andrew's Birthday Fundraiser for MTB Afghanistan
I would so honored if you partnered with us for my birthday to help MTB Afghanistan raise the funds to sponsor an a member of the Afghan cycling community for evacuation.

EDIT: We have already raised the first $6,000 to sponsor one person, so we have expanded this fundraiser to a second person!

28 cyclists, primarily women, and their families are in urgent need of evacuation. MTB Afghanistan has been part of a concerted effort of activists and NGOs to evacuate them as soon as possible. So far, seven cyclists, including the team captain, have been safely evacuated from Afghanistan. We need your help to get the rest out IMMEDIATELY.

These Afghan individuals are the True Champions of the cycling movement in Afghanistan. They put themselves in front of the whole nation to fight for equal rights and invited more women to ride bikes. They have been lauded in national and international press.

Now, they and their families are in danger and we must help. At this current time, it costs approximately $6K to evacuate each individual. Even though the American military has withdrawn, evacuation efforts are ongoing for these (and other) at risk individuals, and a number of contingency plans have been arranged.

MTB Afghanistan is working with the Human Rights Foundation to carry out the evacuation process. Your donations will be forwarded to HRF and restricted specifically to the Afghanistan Cyclist Evacuation and Resettlement efforts.

This fundraiser is support MTB Afghanistan's current goal to raise 250K with a stretch goal of 500K to help these individuals evacuate and resettle. 100% of these funds will be used for this effort, as the organizers have donated their time.

MTB Afghanistan is an organization with a vision of empowering Afghan youth with the joy of riding and competing on mountain bikes, and connecting people across borders for their shared love of cycling.

MTB Afghanistan receives donations through a partner organization, Humanitarian Social Innovations. All donations are solely used for the purposes of this program and nothing else.
