In honor of my 50th birthday (Yep, I'm saying it out loud, no reason to hide from it or lie) please join me in making a difference in a family's life.

I'm honored to be a board member and raising money to benefit Humble Design, a non-profit organization serving individuals, families and veterans emerging from homelessness by transforming their empty house into a warm, welcoming and uplifting home with donated furnishings and household goods.

My goal is to raise $5000!  
ANY donation, seriously nothing is too small, will help make an impact.   This is the amount it costs to furnish a home for a family, which includes salaries for designers and movers, moving expenses, furniture repair, security, cleaning supplies and other household items.  

It would be the greatest gift to know I was able to make this happen for a family transitioning out of homelessness here in Seattle.

Dear friends and family,

For my mitzvah project, I have decided to work with an organization called Humble Design . Humble Design furnishes homes for families transitioning from homelessness. They take donated household goods to transform empty, cold houses into warm, welcoming and uplifting homes. Working with Humble Design appealed to me because I am interested in interior design and I want to help people that are less fortunate than me.  

For my project I am planning to help furnish ONE COMPLETE HOUSE for a family in need. In order to do this, I need to raise $3,000 to cover the cost of moving and set up for the home. I will be working with the design team to move, clean and decorate the home. I will then be able to witness the reveal as the family sees their newly decorated home.  I can't wait to be a part of this.

I am raising the money in 3 different ways.
     1. This Go fund me campaign.  
     2.  I will donate $750 of my own money to this cause. 
     3.  I have teamed up with Kalamata Greek Grill , who graciously agreed to donate 20% of their profits on Thursday, April 25, 2019. I am hoping you all can join me there for dinner from 5-10 pm for fun and fundraising to support this important cause.  I will be sending out more information about this later.

Hi everyone! November marks the beginning of the season of thankfulness. We've all been given so much and in acknowledgement of that, I'm raising $3,000 for Humble Design in Pontiac, MI. 

As you can see from the video above, Humble Design is a local charity that moves homeless and/or battered & abused families into real homes. Whether they are currently living in a homeless shelter or are unable to make their current house a home, Humble Design creates spaces for family, love & memories. 

The $3,000 that we raise will sponsor a family & allow Humble Design to find them a home. Myself and 11 others on my team will then help Humble Design move the family into the home & decorate it with furnishings. 

We're looking forward to blessing a family through this charity this season! Thank you for your donation, I can't wait to share our impact with you!

West Bloomfield High School DECA students Emily Hamama, Julia Abramson and Kapil Vyas are collecting $3,000 to MAKE A HOUSE A HOME for one local family this holiday in conjunction with their chapter and advisors.

Please consider making a donation to help restore hope and dignity to a local family. 

Humble Design is a non-profit organization that helps families transition out of homeless shelters by providing them furniture and design services.

From December 4th - December 14th a collection box will be provided at some of the district schools.  Picture frames, pillows and cleaning supplies will be collected to donate to the Humble Design Warehouse on December 15th.

On the morning of December 15th, a group of 10 from WBHS DECA will decorate a NEW HOME for a selected  family.  That afternoon, the family will return for the first time to see and sleep in their brand new home that your donations helped to create.
